About this movie

Set in a world where toys have a life of their own when people are not present, Toy Story takes moviegoers on a fantastic fun-filled journey, viewed mostly through the eyes of two rival toys - Woody (Tom Hanks), a pull-string talking cowboy, and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), a superhero space action-figure. The comically-mismatched duo eventually learn to put aside their differences when circumstances separate them from their owner, Andy, and they find themselves on a hilarious adventure-filled mission where the only way they can survive is to form an uneasy alliance.

Toy Story is one of the most beautiful works of art ever, let alone one of the greatest animated films. I consider the only competitor to be Toy Story 3. And that is because few companies in any industry put as much creativity, care, and skill into their work as Pixar does, and it shows in every scene of this movie, their first great achievement. The story-telling perfectly weaves a story that is all at once hilarious, touching, and inspiring. Because of this, Toy Story is a heart-warming reminder of my childhood, and one for countless other children of the 90s.

Great film. Always classic. Funny how now as an adult I notice the attention to detail like license plate numbers with hidden meaning and flaws in moulding on doors and windows. I loved this growing up and fun watching it with my boys now. Parents with young ones beware a mean spirited kid that destroys toys about 2/3 way in - may be good to avoid until they are older.

Great animation but..., the story is pretty bad (overated) and the tone of the film is actually prettt bad. I found no fun with Woody's relationship with Buzz. But Toy Story 2 and 3 were some of the best movies I have ever seen.
