About this movie

Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World" continues the adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel's "Thor" and "Marvel's The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. To defeat an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor sets upon his most dangerous and personal journey yet, forced into an alliance with the treacherous Loki to save not only his people and those he loves...but our universe itself.

Why didn't Thor suspect anything when when Loki 'died'; Loki did just make it look like Thor's arm got cut off. You need to see, "How Thor the Dark World Should Have Ended" on YouTube.

After the last film lacking much of Asgard I was glad to see it was the focus of the sequel with Earth stepping back and taking a breather. But unfortunately the Shakespearean family drama that Kenneth Branagh did so well in the first film just wasn't there. When did everyone in Asgard suddenly become so boring? It's not all bad though, the story is interesting, though the villains lack a clear motive, and Hemsworth and Hiddleston are once again amazing in their roles. Too bad the same couldn't be said about Portman, who once again graces us with another one of her bored looking wooden performances. We know the girl can act, but she is obviously not interested in geeky things and should stop jumping at those roles. I'm not so secretly hoping for Thor to realise that Lady Sif is a much better match for him. Maybe when Ragnarok comes!

Great Thor movie. And loki proves to be an exceptional villian. You just love to hate and sometimes agree with him even though you don't want to. By far Tom Hiddleston steals the show with his performance.
