With They're Inside, John-Paul Panelli and Schuyler Brumley have put together a story that won't stop asking hard, thorny questions about not only the horror genre itself, and why we love it so much, but also about the very nature of human relationships and sympathies. The thoughtfulness that they demonstrate in the writing and execution of their first movie is often impressive, and sometimes even thrilling. The greatest sin that this movie commits is that it is more interested in these questions than it is in shocking or scaring its audience. This is a major misstep, because the natural audience for this movie will bring those expectations. That said, this film still delivers enormous and unexpected value. Not only is it thematically and structurally ambitious, it is more than competently well-written (a rare find in the genre), and boasts a charming cast of earnest and often very good unknown actors. Karli Hall, in particular, constructs a stunningly dynamic and effective performance as Robin, the film's tortured protagonist. I'll be watching out with genuine anticipation for whatever these filmmakers do next.

Please, for the love of god, I beg you, do NOT spend money on this movie. It is appallingly bad. I can only assume the other 10 people who reviewed this were the cast and crew of the movie. Save your time and your money. Do some laundry, clean the toilet, set a $5 bill on fire and watch it burn. Do anything other then rent this piece of trash. I'm off to beat my head against a concrete wall. I guarantee it'll be more entertaining than this movie with the added bonus of being free. Cheers.

This horror film had me glued to my seat and eyes peeled wide open. Great job to the actors. I really enjoyed the opening scenes, plot, twists, and footage. I'm not a regular when it comes to scary films because they can often have predictable storylines and feel like a waste of my time. Not this one! It's way worth your time. I enjoyed it so much, I'm glad I own it now.
