About this movie

Revered filmmaker; Martin Scorsese directs the story of New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio). From the American dream to corporate greed, Belfort goes from penny stocks and righteousness to IPOs and a life of corruption in the late 80s. Excess success and affluence in his early twenties as founder of the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont warranted Belfort the title The Wolf of Wall Street. Money. Power. Women. Drugs. Temptations were for the taking and the threat of authority was irrelevant. For Jordan and his wolf pack, modesty was quickly deemed overrated and more was never enough. © 2013 TWOWS, LLC. This is the most disgusting and perverted movie I've seen whether it was based on a true story or not there is a way that things like this can be tastefully done and this movie was far from being tastefully done. Appalled by the whole thing, some people may like it but it was certainly nothing I would ever watch again completely disgusted, only gave it 1 star because I had to to rate it.

Saw in cinemas but walked out about a third of the way through. Only lasted that long because I thought the needless nudity and bad language would cease. Totally understand that the main character got up to all sorts of mischief, but was hoping to focus more on the consequences of such behaviour and how it affected those around him.

The film has some very funny moments but then you remind yourself about the millions of trusting people he screwed and you hate youself for watching it. One way or another Belfort is still making money and the mum and dad investors who trusted him are still suffering.
