Well to be informative I had enjoyed it by the end. For not being mainstream it told a good story. I could watch it without the mind being attached to any idea or concept. It very loosely let me know that truth may be revealed but other truths are harder to expand on. Very much like the way the movie description says about truth and reality. Goes deep into the subconscious that needs resolution. Better simply there were some good displays of finding common ground in abstract experiences. Watching Justin Long go through that as the main character a good break from one's reality.

Imagine the drug-induced visuals of Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas with the frenetic pacing and singularity of purpose in Running Scared. The Wave is an amazing, thrilling ride that throws you back and forth through reality and hyper-reality from start to finish. Fantastic performances by the entire cast, immaculate visuals that capture and inspire the imagination. What a fantastic start to 2020!
