About this movie

The very day he’s about to drive his family to a new life in the city, geologist Kristian Elkjord senses something wrong with the mountain that overlooks his scenic town. No one wants to believe that this could be the big one, especially with tourist season at its peak, but when a landslide from the mountain sends tons of rock and earth crashing into the water, everyone has ten minutes to outrace the resulting tsunami to higher ground in this thrilling action spectacular.

It's true, this disaster movie is better than any Hollywood disaster film out there. Kind of a more realistic version of Dante's Peak, but without all the corny effects, & the actors were FANTASTIC, especially the main star. I think he made the movie. Loved it, & this is my favorite genre. Also creepy knowing it could really happen at any moment! Oh, & for real, do NOT even notice or care that there are subtitles in this movie. I actually thought it made it cool, & funnier when they swore in English! LOL

Beatufully written tale of a family on the brink of disaster. Modeling something of a fictional version against the reality of one like in Japan's earthquake 3/11...though the magnitudes differ by convention. Actually it's more about this topic of avalanches notably to the Alaskan disaster decades ago...which caused the same results-oriented event. Very genuinely casted.

If you've seen "The Impossible" and enjoyed it then you'll really like this film. Sadly, I'm personally aware that banging on someone's chest after they have expired does not always or even usually bring them back. That was the only element in this film that did not make a whole lot of sense but the rest of it was a triumph. I'll definitely be adding this to my collection and showing it to all of my friends for sure.
