Bad acting, confusing editing in places. It tries to be come cross between John Carpenter's "Assault on Precinct 13" "The Thing" and "silent hill" -- but fails in almost every single way. It isn't the worst movie ever, just don't have high expectations. The ending is interesting, but it wastes a lot of time getting there by being too conventional and wasting too much time. The last 20 minutes should have been the setup. If that sounds nuts, remember Clive Barkers "lord of illusions."

This is a warning to all THIS IS A BAD MOVIE! Don't be fooled by the rotten tomatoes score or the, admittedly, good trailer. The movie is pathetically shot and written. You might hear that this movie has great practical effects like 'The Thing'. WRONG! You can't even tell what the hell is going on because the director decided to have each shot be about a second! Combine that with just bad dialogue and story that just goes nowhere everyone should stay clear.

I have a hard time recommending this movie. It is in the Lovecraft style, as others have mentioned, and like many Lovecraft stories that have been made into movies, this one lacks the things that make those stories great or don't translate well to the big screen. The dialogue and acting is particularly poor, but is helped out by the some interesting special effects and creepiness. Not a complete loss, but could have been better.
