About this movie

The Voices tells the story of Jerry Hickfang (Ryan Reynolds), a seemingly loveable but slightly odd factory worker. In reality, however, he’s a schizophrenic loner tiptoeing on the edge of insanity. His initially innocent crush on a co-worker (Gemma Arterton) turns dangerous when he succumbs to the voices only he can hear from his cat and dog. Torn between his desire for society’s version of normality and the surreal version of his own, Jerry’s voices eventually prevail and drive him down a twisted, criminal path.

It is dark comedy, not the darkest, but twisted. I love that Ryan Reynolds is stepping out of Hollywood to do this weird little Berlin filmed movie. He is very good in this role. The supporting characters are great. The movie starts of a little rocky...but give it 10 mins...then you wont be able to not watch it again....pay close attention! Not scary...but a bit of gore. Some good but creepy laughs.

Oh my. I love this film so so much. Ryan Reynolds played amazing in this film. I'm not saying it just because I only love it, but because it's unique. For some reason, in my opinion, it technically reminds me of Deadpool, not just because Reynolds is acting in that film, but because of the similar subject matter. I believe the director did a great job. You really should watch it!

I thought it was a great adaptation into the mind of a physcopath and the internal battles they face in their illness. The level of hallucination is crazy.
