About this movie

When Becca and Tyler are sent to their grandparents' secluded Pennsylvania farm for a weeklong stay, they quickly discover something is not right with the elderly couple. Faced with strange rules and increasingly frightening behavior, the children soon realize it will take all their wits to make it home alive. Critics rave, the latest heart-pounding thriller from the director of The Sixth Sense and Signs and the producer of Paranormal Activity and The Purge is a “deliciously creepy triumph.”** **Scott Mendelson, Forbes.com (Original Title - The Visit) - 2015 Universal Studios. Shoddy and poorly researched, what mental illness exactly did the protagonists have Mr N. S.? Are you aware it is not 1978 where the mentally unwell were demonised. This film would only crystallise concerns in the general public and help to limit support for those charities associated with mental health. Stick to ghosts you can't offend people then.

Don't watch this if you are expecting the usual quality this director produces. The story is credible enough with good plot twists, unfortunately the greatest film in the world would be ruined by the two children cast in the main roles. Poor casting had ruined this movie. You have been warned.

Given most of his previous films, which, let's be generous, have been dire, this is a refreshingly simple premise, a few jump scares for the kiddies, some artfully directed shots and a twist that, I'll admit, I didn't see coming and it was good. Ending a bit syrupy but forgiveable. Well worth a watch
