About this movie

The critics and public agree. Brian De Palma's The Untouchables is a must-see masterpiece - glorious, fierce, larger-than-life depiction of the mob warlord who ruled Prohibition-era Chicago... and the law enforcer who vowed to bring him down. This classic confrontation between good and evil and stars Kevin Costner as federal agent Eliot Ness, Robert De Niro as gangland kingpin Al Capone and Sean Connery as Malone, the cop who teaches Ness how to beat the mob: shoot fast and shoot first.

I watched this for my history class, whilst it may be very violent it explains the untouchables journey and is very educational. It is violent and very visual with swearing and lots of gore. I personally enjoyed it and thought it really helped with my school topic. Don't watch if you don't enjoy violence and gore, have a weak stomache or especially if your under the age restriction.

Accurately depicted characters in the time of bootlegging, Al capone the gangstar business man is challenged by eutopian law enforcers who have to go beyond their remit to fight against the tide of corruption and murder during the great depression era.

Rewatched this film recently and hadn't remembered how great this film was. The film is also more violent than I remembered but it gives the performances from the cast a gutsy strong direction that just surprises you as a watcher
