About this movie

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre not only changed the face of horror in 1974 but still remains one of the most shocking, powerful and terrifying films ever made. Widely banned on its release it's notoriety has not diminished and this harrowing tale of a depraved Texan clan, and its chainsaw wielding icon of horror, Leatherface, continues to stun and disturb audiences like no other film. This new director supervised restoration brings new life and detail to the film and immerses the viewer as never before. 1974 Vortex, Inc.

best horror ever made still to this day no remake comes close to it, the atmosphere an music of this movie really captures the audience like no other thats what makes it feel shocking an theres not that much gore in it but it didn't need it. even though it was not based on a true story only a serial killer ed gein it was still a fantastic idea for a film. that's why its still talked about now an thats why it keeps getting re made by other film makers but the original will never be beaten tobe hooper is a legend

Quite simply, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) is the best horror film ever made. The entire film has lost none of it's deliberately primal power to horrify, shock and thoroughly unnerve any audience.
