About this movie

A family’s road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s every limit as they struggle to survive. Johannes Roberts (whose shark diving thriller 47 Meters Down was a smash hit) directs this horror film featuring Christina Hendricks, Bailee Madison, Martin Henderson and Lewis Pullman, inspired by the 2008 classic The Strangers. - ( Original Title - The Strangers: Prey at Night )

The movie is full of predictable tropes and unexplored depths of character. The audience is asked to invest in a protagonist who is written as little more than a stereotype. The death scenes hold little impact due to lack of originality and lack of interest in the characters from the audience. The script goes through the expected motions of a PG rated gore-fest. The crudest thing about the film is not the rare curseword but the script itself. The film seems to rely heavily on a disjointed and vauguely nostalgiac soundtrack to lend poignancy that ends up about as enthralling as a phone book being read by Ben Stein, to himself - silently.

Whoever wrote this is idiotic the mother literally sits there staring at her daughter and doesn't fight knowing she couldn't escape and then the dumb as brother Luke who has the chance to shoot a woman with a knife and doesn't just yells run and there's more stupid stuff. Very terrible movie and very terrible actors

Really? So damn predictable. Not creative. These type of movies are everywhere. The killers always pop up right next to them all the time, even after that have ran away far enough to get out alive. Just not very creative at all.
