The Straight Story

This is the beautiful "enjoy every moment of life from every angle imaginable" side of David Lynch as a director that I really enjoy, not to mention getting to see a couple of actors from the Twin Peaks series that I love in different roles. Everett McGill will always be "Big Ed Hurley" to me even though here he plays "Tom the John Deere Salesman" and Harry Dean Stanton has one of the most wonderfully expressive faces I've ever seen. I'll definitely be renting and watching this movie again at a later date or possibly even purchase a digital or physical copy.

David Lynch has the ability to make such a simple (and surprisingly enough, true) story seem so grand and important.
