The Sound of Music is probably one of my absolute favorite movies ever!! For one thing, I love music and I love children, but when you combine the two, it's like listening to angels singing!! I was bothered to find out years later that it wasn't Christopher Plummer's voice singing "Adelweiss". He and Julie Andrews were guests on the "Rosie O'Donnell Show" when she happened to mention that it was her birthday and since "Adelweiss" was her favorite song, would he do the honor of singing it for her? As he was singing, I realized the voices were different, but still beautiful! Every song was magical and every scene was perfect. The most heartbreaking thing of all is that Charmian Carr is no longer with us. RIP Liesl

50 years after being released, and this movie is still a breathtaking, wonderful and fresh! My mom grew up watching this movie, and I'm so thankful that she passed down this treasure. This movie highlights the talents of both Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, and makes the viewer wish that Andrews had received more dramatic roles throughout her career. Will watch again soon, and sing to every word!
