About this movie

Hollywood superstar Bruce Willis (Armageddon, Unbreakable) brings a powerful presence to an edge-of-your-seat supernatural thriller that critics have called one of the best films in recent times. Dr. Malcolm Crowe (Willis) is a distinguished child psychologist haunted by the painful memory of a disturbed young patient he was unable to help. So when he meets Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment -- Artificial Intelligence)... a frightened, confused eight-year-old with a similar condition... Dr. Crowe seeks to redeem himself by doing everything he can. Nonetheless, Malcolm is unprepared to learn the truth of what haunts Cole: terrifying, unwanted visits from the restless inhabitants of the spirit world. With a riveting intensity you'll find thoroughly chilling and utterly unforgettable, the discovery of Cole's incredible 6th sense leads them both to mysterious and unforeseeable consequences. © 1999 Hollywood Pictures

Not something I'd buy and watch a bazillion times, but seriously a masterful work in all respects, aided and abetted by an excellent score. It's creepy as fork in places and very poignant near the end, not particularly scary or gory. I'd only seen it once years ago and I'd always remembered the salient points - it stays with you somehow, and it was great to see it again: Utterly compelling viewing, highly recommended.

One of the best atmospheric, edge of your seat horror\dramas ever made. Believable characters. Two charismatic lead actors in Bruce and Haley. You MUST see this film. The best twist ever.

This is one of those films which, without any doubt, you will keep and watch several times over the years. The casting was perfect, the "acting", I think, was "life". That's how it was for me. The scene that stole the film was so real that I am in tears just writing about it. The first time I watched it, it took a while to get into. But, once hooked, it reeled me in. Call me an old fool. I don't care. I am 83 years of age and The Sixth Sense is right there in my TOP FIVE.
