This is a superb book, and even better remake film. How this film has missed so many people who live Bill Murray shocks me. Although you will find humor in it, this is not a comedy. This is a man's search for the meaning of life, beyond materialistic possessions. During the time this book was written, eastern philosophy was still widely unknown within the states. The idea is to leave you questioning what it means to truly be happy, and our endeavors in life. Do yourself a favor and watch this film.

I originally saw this movie when it was first released, and was pleasantly surprised by Bill Murray's acting chops. This is one of those films that I could watch a thousand times.

What an amazing spectacular movie. It's a bit long and convoluted but it tells the story of a lifetime of change . And honestly , if you don't get that, it's worth it just for the period pieces and the spectacular settings. Watch every minute of it .
