About this movie

In 15th century England the sorcerer Craven learns from fellow magician Dr. Bedlo that his supposed dead wife is alive and living at the castle of master sorcerer Dr. Scarabus. Craven and Bedlo journey to Scarabus' castle, and, in a fantastic duel of magic, Craven and Scarabus engage in a fight to the finish.

A horribly "adaptation" that has little if anything to do with the Edgar Allan Poe poem. But also an incredibly entertaining one, especially with the protagonist portrayed by Vincent Price, his companion portrayed by Peter Lorre and the big villain played by Boris Karloff. Everyone in the movie's super fun to watch, and they clearly don't take themselves too seriously as they indulge in magickal shenanigans for seemingly their own amusement as well as the audience's.
