A funny and touching coming-of-age story, THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER is a modern classic that captures the dizzying highs and crushing
lows of high school. Freshman Charlie (Logan Lerman) is a perpetual wallflower until he falls under the spell of the beautiful, free-spirited Sam (Emma Watson) and her

of Stephen Chbosky's beloved novel.

The movie is consistent with many of the themes of the book. The molestation, abuse, mental illness, and the issues of fitting in etc are all relatable and communicated well. However the acting was sub par for me. The over acted and it made the movie seem very corny. The emotions were forced not genuine. The best scene was the black out fight but all overall the film was okay, not great.
