About this movie

The Passion of The Christ focuses on the last twelve hours of Jesus of Nazareth's life. The film begins in the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus has gone to pray after sitting the Last Supper. Jesus must resist the temptations of Satan. Betrayed by Judas Iscariot, Jesus is then arrested and taken within the city walls of Jerusalem where leaders of the Pharisees confront him with accusations of blasphemy and his trial results in a condemnation to death.

Its a movie interpretation, its not the Gospel of Matthew, so oddly its falls awkwardly between the two. Worth watching once I guess, but with caution, remember, movie not Gospel. I would say Jesus of Nazareth was far more profound and managed the balance far more effectively!

Fantastic movie about what can only be described as the most important chain of events in history. Regardless if you're religious or not, these events shaped the world we live in today.

Best film. I personally wanted it to be more gory. The actual Christ suffered a lot more. Why can't this movie be fully sold? I also believe that this movie is my no.1 favourite movie because it shows precisely how HARD Jesus suffered to redeem is. That is nothing to throw a stick at.
