About this movie

Mother Augustine, the principal of a small school that has won many prizes for piano, tries to share her passion for music with her students. When her niece is left in her care, she meets a new prodigy. But when the Quebec government introduces a public education system, the school’s future is threatened.

Simply an amazing film! I could understand that most people could not sit through a film about religion, but this brave, most human film uses religion as a backdrop only. The human emotions, and especially the music are the centerpiece of all that takes place. A must see, very moving little picture. A+

So much emotion put into this film. Loved the acting, and the music was magnificient. The actors showed both aspects to the highest of quality. Even though I didnt want to but had to rent this to finish a french assignment, in the end, it was actually so worth it. Bravo, Alice!
