About this movie

Behind every great love, is a great story. As teenagers, Allie (Rachel McAdams) and Noah (Ryan Gosling) begin a whirlwind courtship that soon blossoms into tender intimacy. The young couple is quickly separated by Allie's upper-class parents who insist that Noah isn't right for her. Several years pass, and, when they meet again, their passion is rekindled, forcing Allie to choose between her soulmate and class order. This beautiful tale has a particularly special meaning to and older gentleman (James Garner) who regularly reads the timeless love story to his aging companion (Gena Rowlands). Based on the best-selling novel by Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook is at once heart-warming and heartbreaking and will capture you in its sweeping emotional force. 2004 MMIV New Line Productions, Inc. Maudlin, stupefyingly sentimental & emotionally manipulative, this fantasy set in an all-white, middle class-only planet (that superficially looks like Earth) strives pathetically to pull weak heartstrings. The utter nadir of Hollywood's cynical and downright nauseating retro romance output.

Based on reality meaning real life events, this is one of the most amazing films that truly show how relationships should actually be, and from the ups and downs to never giving up on what you want, you can relate to the people in the film in a few ways whatever some may think. Fantastic and so much better than titanic (also based on true events) and yes most of the people are white but in the time this was set alabama was totally different to how run down it is now.
