I hadn't seen this movie in quite a number of years, so it was a pleasant and comedic trip down memory lane. Like the original episodes of their TV show, this Muppet film is truly a genuinely funny movie and not just stuffed animals on screen that engage children. It reminds us of the wacky and rather sophisticated humor of Jim Henson and gives us the 'origin' Muppet film well before origin movies were the cool new thing.

I have seen this movie many times. First when I was very young, maybe around 6 or 7 years old (was born in 85), and many times since most recently at 30. I still find it great. There are many well written, almost non-offensive jokes. This alone is a treat in the modern media landscape. The other element captured is the whimsy. You can feel for the characters along their adventure and almost feel as though you are part of it. I can't think of too many recent movies to capture a group, or even family adventure, so. The closest reference in recent times may be "Super 8".

Love the Muppets! Giving it 4 stars because I think it should have had more of the authentic Muppet feel to it. All the original characters only made short appearances also, which was disappointing to me also. All in all a great movie though!!
