About this movie

Tom Cruise stars in this spectacular version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy. Thought safely entombed deep beneath the desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day. Her malevolence has grown over millennia and with it come terrors that defy human comprehension. From the sands of the Middle East through modern day London, The Mummy balances wonder, thrills, and imagination.

[SPOILERS, but you can't really care, this movie sucks] This movie is genuinely hard to watch. The end scene is the entire cast riding into the sunset on horses. No joke. Even the dead ones. This movie makes zero sense, half way through one of the action scenes this cursed guy gets taken over by a character named Eddie Hyde, who is just brought up out of thin air. No explanation whatsoever. They expect us to know everything about "Eddie Hyde" and never talk about him once, and after than seen, his name isn't used ever again. And the possessed guy gets infected or whatever then at the end scene, he reunites with the cast and no one cares and he is all normal and happy even though he attempted murder on every single one of them and backstabbed them at least 50 times. The movie is boring, and I wouldn't have watched it if I expected a masterpiece. I was expecting a crappy movie to make fun of with my friend, but if you want a fun Tom Cruise action movie, I beg you. Don't watch this. This doesn't make sense whatsoever and none of the characters don't make sense at all. Anyways if you really want to experience "a fate worse that death" (quoted from the move) then be my guest. If for some weird reason you expect a good movie and you are really excited to watch it, only watch the first hour and 15. You may be confused and want your questions answered, but the amount of questions you are confused on won't compare whatsoever to the questions you will have by the end. Don't watch it. 2/5, fun if you want to make fun of with friends Otherwise 1/5

It's an alright movie not the best out there but was still ok I did not like it that much because the story was just like any other mummy story only this mummy movie was about a Princess looking for a Prince to rule by her side as an immortal being so that there would be two immortal beings. Also I'm gonna say this for the 1000th time the story felt rushed like other similar movies to this one but it was a movie that helps you pass the time.

Just .... awful. The movie is never intended to be compared to the Brendan Fraser Mummy movies, thank goodness. I'm not sure who had the idea of this particular storyline, but they missed the mark by a long shot. It's boring. Bad acting. Bad casting. Everything is bad. I rented it and thought it would be worth a look. It isn't. I couldn't even watch the entire movie. I stopped it about halfway thru and let my rental run out, it was that bad. I love movies! I have eclectic tastes and I will usually find some redeeming qualities in a movie that the critics bash. Not this one! Please, don't give this movie another thought. Just walk away from pushing the rental/purchase button.
