About this movie

A deep-sea submersible filled with an international research crew lies disabled at the bottom of the Pacific after having been attacked by a massive shark previously thought to be extinct. With time running out, expert deep sea rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) is recruited by a visionary Chinese oceanographer (Winston Chao) to save the crew—and the ocean itself—from this unstoppable threat: a pre-historic 75-foot-long shark known as the Megalodon. What no one could have imagined is that years before, Taylor had encountered this same terrifying creature. Now he must risk his own life to save everyone trapped below...bringing him face to face once more with the greatest and largest predator of all time!

This movie sucks. I like cheesy Jason Statham movies. I like giant shark movies. Put them together and somehow you get a boring yawn of a movie. How do you make this boring!,? Makes no sense. I feel asleep twice and found myself on my phone throughout. The writing is terrible, so is the acting. But not even in a fun way. The CG isn't the worst but it is far from the best. The movie just keeps going. Everytime you think you're finally done it carries on like it thinks you're happy to be there. Also I now think any movie on Google Play that can only be rented in 4k is going to be trash.

Did this even make it to theaters? I like to think that I'm not a "hater", who's hatin just to hate. But still, even to avoid being portrayed as a hater, I just CANNOT give this movie a good review. The acting was anything but great, the plot was dull, the characters were lame and I was really confused by the whole love triangle thing with Jason and the two bimbos. Please don't spend money to watch this, wait until an opportunity to see it for free comes up. And if 1 never does, well, that's ok.

When I saw this movie I was completely disgusted at how totally whitewashed it was.😤 It's just a bunch of angry sexist white men trying to kill a giant shark. Minorities in this movie are completely unrepresented. The obvious lack of diversity in this film makes me want to scream and puke. Obviously all of the actors and producers of this film are racist chauvinist bigots and if you like this movie so are you!
