About this movie

Have you ever had a dream that you were so sure was real? What if you couldn't awaken? How would you know the difference between dream and reality? When a beautiful stranger (Carrie Ann Moss) leads computer hacker Neo (Keanu Reeves) to a forbidding underworld, he discovers the shocking truth--the life he knows is the elaborate deception of an evil cyber-intelligence. Lo reputo l'oppio per gli amanti del genere fantascientifico, un vero film cult che lascia il segno e ti offre la possibilità di andare oltre all'immaginario collettivo. Ma non è un film adatto per chi soffre di stati depressivi o per chi vuole evadere dalla realtà.

Uno dei Miglior Film Action di Sempre! Le ex Sorelle Wachowski, ora fratelli, firmano un'opera commerciale ma con un significato filosofico. Basta sapere che l'idea della Matrice è presa dal Mito della Ceverna di Platone. La faccia enigmatica di Keanu Reeves rende ancora più interessante il personaggio di Neo. Matrix ha cambiato il modo di girare film d'azione, con il Bullet Time, Tecnica spesso abusata nelle pellicole più recenti. La scena "Pillola Rossa o Pillola Blu" è iconica. VOTO 5/5

Pura perfezione cinematografica, con un sacco di effetti speciali realizzati da dio, in quello che rappresenta forse il migliore film di fantascienza mai realizzato, anche se non lo ritengo tra i miei preferiti. L'azione è coreografata benissimo, arricchita dal bullett time che rendeva questo film una spanna sopra gli altri, di allora e di adesso. Film che forse non meritava dei sequel, ma non li ho ancora visti anche se le recensioni non mi incoraggiano. Questo comunque rimarrà il migliore.
