About this movie

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom. But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash. (c) null 2016 Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., Warner Bros. Hired it for my daughter who loves Tarzan movies. I wasnt really expecting to enjoy it as much as I did (even though I love the 2 main actors). Turned out to be a really good movie. Bits here and there that I didnt really like that much but that can be said about any movie anyone watches. I liked that it incorporated real history into the storyline and the cg animals were pretty good too. Had my daughter believing he was really cuddling up to a bunch of lions

Not sure if I really liked this remake appreciate they tried to be abstract/ artistic with the usual story elements but I feel they missed some of the original story I loved so much. Feels like a sequel more then a remake there was also some very bad special effects like The vine swinging and tree running?? that didn't help the story along. You can't try and wow with too much blue screen it ruins what could of seemed a realistic movie. Entertaining in some parts and bad in other parts so overall a flop

A refreshing take on a familiar tale. Alexander Skarsgard does an enviable job playing Tarzan with an incredible physique that you just get the sense is stronger than any man alive. Margot Robbie is all the strength and smarts you'd expect from Jane's character, so strong willed and incredibly beautiful. Both her and Tarzan(Lord John Clayton)seem to have amazing eye qualities, eyes so clear they almost seem superhuman. Samuel L Jackson was wonderful as Tarzan's ally being voluntarily thrust into situations he'd never expected and at one point when faced with the edge of a cliff, his reaction is quite amusing. The CGI animals are what you'd expect, done well but not quite photo real, but I'm being picky. It was a great fun movie although I was left feeling I wanted a bit more. More of what I don't know.
