I loved this movie as a kid & i still think it's dope. Bruce Leroy is an "urban" Kung Fu master trying to advance peacefully in learning the glow. Shonuff the villian won't let him do anything in peace tho & it's not just a movie based on black dudes doing martial arts. There's lot of different types of entertainment in this classic 80s film. Also it's definitely 1 of the very 1st movies to have a very diverse cast. And 1 of the 1st movies to have a lot of Rap music to. The songs were pretty wack tho, even for back then. But At the time, Rap was no where near mainstream yet. Well anyway, this movies dope!

It is what it is. Great entertainment. I was 3 when this flick was released, but I watch as often as I can. THE GLOW effect, for this film's time was just too awesome for words. Don't get me started on how awesome I think the soundtrack truly is... Some folks would say "this is so bad that it's good" and they would be 100% right, but take in account the time it was filmed, the trends, etc... It is/was an AMAZINGLY AWESOME FLICK... And yes, I'm laughing as I write this review WHILE I listen to the soundtrack
