Based on one of the best TV-series ever made, M. Night Shyamalan has gone about and ruined the possibility of a great movie. The actors are weak and the story is rushed and poorly executed. The only good thing about this movie is the score by James Newton Howard which borrows on the score from the series but makes it more epic. The song "Flow Like Water" is my personal highlight. Please avoid this movie, but do not overlook the TV-show which is close to perfect.

The effects were cool and obviously I loved the epic moment near the end - but everything felt so rushed. There was almost no character development and I didn't feel attached to anyone in the movie. I also felt that there was no time for the relationships between the characters to grow, which made the film really unrealistic. In my opinion they should have made three separate movies, like the anime's seasons, in order to allow us to really get to know the characters. Also the acting wasn't great

I hate this. I watched the series and it was a work of art. This was a disappointment. It was so poorly executed and the plot was so rushed. And why did it take 100 earthbenders to move a pebble?! AVOID AT ALL COSTS, AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WATCH THE ANIMATED SERIES FIRST
