About this movie

Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in THE KING'S MAN. A group of history's worst tyrants and criminal masterminds, including Rasputin (Rhys Ifans), has gathered to plot a mercenary war that will wipe out millions of innocent people across the world. Enter Kingsman, the world's very first independent intelligence agency. Sworn to operate at the highest levels of ethics and discretion, the lethal, impeccably trained spies use an elite haberdashery business as a front for the organization. Dedicated to stopping the imminent carnage, Kingsman founding member, the Duke of Oxford (Ralph Fiennes), recruits a protégé, Conrad (Harris Dickinson), to join the organization and help set history on a more positive course. Directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring a stellar cast, including Gemma Arterton, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Daniel Brühl, with Djimon Hounsou and Charles Dance, THE KING'S MAN is an exhilarating chapter in the Kingsman franchise.

Nothing in this movie is as good as either of its predecessors. Most of it is not even close. There is not much action but even when there is a lot of the times characters fight with knives even when they have guns so it's weird. There is no real humor or sarcastic themes unless you consider one scene towards the beginning. On its own it's not the worst movie ever but if you're a fan of the previous two, this one is very skippable

Movie isn't too bad, unlike the first one, this lacked storyline and great performances. Will say it does well with the humour and packs a few surprises. One thing that really made me enjoy this movie was the action. Yeah this has some great action sequences and impactful camera pannings....nice job to the team responsible....other than that, this just another movie that can easily be forgotten.

I watched this via Hbomax and I knew what it was going into it. These negative reviews are people expecting it to tow the line of the first two movies. You have to keep an open mind about movies, don't go in expecting something because you will most likely be disappointed. This is a prequel, and as far as it's own story and setting up for future movies I think it did a good job. The action is there, it's just not what people wanted. I appreciate what they did with it. Look forward to more.
