About this movie

Academy Award winners Anthony Hopkins (The Rite) and Nicole Kidman (Nine) along with Gary Sinise (TV's CSI: NY) and Ed Harris (National Treasure: Book of Secrets) star in the provocative mystery The Human Stain. Coleman Silk (Hopkins) has a secret. a terrible fifty-year-old secret that the esteemed college professor has kept hidden from everyone - including his wife, his children and his down-and-out young lover (Kidman) - and it's about to ruin his entire life.

The pre-view video looked interesting and I expected much more than what I saw. I kept waiting for the movie to begin and after some time, I checked the time left and realized it was 75% finished. I think Anthony Hopkins is one of the great actors of our time. The acting abilities of the stars here is not in question. The story doesn't change and seemed to be stuck in one place. I won't bother watching the end of this film. Its one of those when you think you just wasted 2 hours of time in your life, and paid to do so.

Although I must fault the casting for choosing Wentworth Miller as a young Coleman Silk (no resemblance to Anthony Hopkins), the story about a man's decision to deny his own race and heritage and the consequences of his many decisions.
