Interesting take on the origin story. Clever handling of the David/Bruce problem. Good representation of the comics - at the time - having the Hulk get bigger and stronger the madder he gets. There is action, though this is not a real action flick. This is more a story of a guy who suddenly has a lot to deal with trying to make sense of it and work it all out. I like that aspect and wish it appeared more often in this genre. But there are also stupid 'roid rage attack dogs that explode into green mist, a completely unconventional, anti-canon and largely nonsensical appearance of Absorbing Man, and excessively dated CG effects to drag it down. "You wouldn't like me when I'm Ang Lee," say most people. I still like it, but can't call it quality.

Even as a kid at the time, it still bored the hell out of me. DEFINITELY skip this and watch the Norton remake. If you'd like to rent it, go for it... But you have been warned of how terrible it is.

It is a weird movie, but when you watch It's sequel the incredible hulk It's only then you realize this movie started the marvel cinematic universe movies. They, allude to the events of this in the opening of incredible hulk so this is where it all began. Horrible cg, horrible script, horrible acting and everything else.
