About this movie

The adventure follows Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim Erebor with the help of Gandalf the Grey and 13 Dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield. Their journey will take them into the Wild, through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins, Orcs and deadly Wargs, as well as a mysterious and sinister figure known only as the Necromancer. Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain, first they must escape the Goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever...Gollum. Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of ingenuity and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum's "precious" ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities...A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know. Amazing CGI does not equal good screenplay or acting. Not as good as the first movie and leagues away from the LOTR trilogy. The acting was poor with certain exceptions (Tauriel was brilliant, and Smaug was good). The screenplay just feels a bit patchwork in places. Hopefully the next one is better.

While I love the movies, I was sad to see that google play, only provides 480p (in Chrome browser) after buying it as HD, was expecting 720p or 1080p, don't really consider 480p HD.

Started perfectly, the songs, the atmosphere, beautiful. Then radagast turned up with poo on his face and some new white orc and it was all down hill
