About this movie

Oscar-nominee Doris Day ("Pillow Talk," "The Man Who Knew Too Much") stars as a widowed writer who is mistaken for a spy when she is hired to write a biography of handsome research scientist Rod Taylor ("The Birds," "The Time Machine"). A frolicking comic adventure packed with celebrities, including TV's legendary pioneer Arthur Godfrey, Paul Lynde (TV's "Bewitched" and "The Hollywood Squares"), Dom De Luise ("Blazing Saddles," "The Cannonball Run"), Emmy-winner Dick Martin (TV's "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In"), Emmy-winner Alice Pearce (TV's "Bewitched"), Emmy-winner and Oscar-nominee Ellen Corby (TV's "The Waltons," "Vertigo"), and Robert Vaughn (TV's "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.").

When i was growing up in the 50's & 60's movies were made for an escape from real life for about an hour or 2. Doris Day was a gem at this time making comedies (Teachers pet, Pillow talk, Please dont eat the daisies, etc) that were fun. This film has an all star cast with what i think is a very funny plot. There are surprises, twists, romance and of course lots of comedy from some of the best. I went to Catalina Island a lot so I can also relate to the movie in this aspect as well.

this is a movie anyone can watch. Real movie stars , doing their own stunts. Laughing when when not supposed to,you can see their having fun. Most movies now do not have true movie stars this movie has them. They earned that title, not actor- but a true movie star. Bon
