About this movie

Can you really go through life having never wronged anyone? Even if you are unaware of how, or when, and even who you may have wronged….chances are there is someone out there who won’t ever forget it…or you. Simon (Jason Bateman) and Robyn (Rebecca Hall) are a young married couple whose life is going just as planned until a chance encounter with an acquaintance from Simon’s high school sends their world into a harrowing tailspin. Simon doesn’t recognize Gordo (Joel Edgerton) at first, but after a series of uninvited encounters and mysterious gifts prove troubling, a horrifying secret from the past is uncovered after more than 20 years. As Robyn learns the unsettling truth about what happened between Simon and Gordo, she starts to question: how well do we really know the people closest to us, and are past bygones ever really bygones? © 2015 STX Productions, LLC and Blumhouse Productions, LLC. Some dull moments, but worth watching. The trailer defiantly doesn't give away the plot and majority of the scenes were unexpected so that was great! If it wasn't for some of the dull scenes I would rate it 5 star

The Gift is unlike any film you will ever witness. In my personal opinion, it’s among the best films ever made and my all-time favourite. It’s gritty, unforgiving tension carefully placed throughout the film is bold, threatening and so damn suspenseful. It may seem like nothing too heavy, but everything just hits you by its final shot. You are left with a hole in your heart and a major lump in your throat. It’s a only a film I can watch so many times yet...I can never stop thinking about it. Jason Bateman, Rebecca Hall and Joel Edgerton absolutely redefine acting and all give an ultimately perfect performance. The Gift is not for the weak-minded but demands to be watched and even just witnessed.
