About this movie

What makes a woman swipe right for Mr. Wrong and left for Mr. Right? This simultaneously entertaining and enlightening comedy is a fresh, witty, and all-too-relatable look at the real-life science behind our (often regrettable) romantic impulses. Writer-director Whitney Cummings (2 Broke Girls) stars as no-nonsense neuroscientist Julia, whose research into the biochemistry of the female brain is illustrated by three couples: newlyweds Zoe (Cecily Strong) and Greg (Blake Griffin), whose career troubles seep into their relationship; Lisa (Sofia Vergara) and Steven (Deon Cole), who are looking to spice up their stuck-in-a-rut marriage; and Lexi (Lucy Punch) who can't help trying to change her boyfriend Adam (James Marsden). Meanwhile, the straight-laced Julia's own synapses start to fire when a handsome new subject (Toby Kebbell) joins her study…

Impressive in every aspect! Obviously taking out the element of the scientific accuracy (which by all means is so, as well as well researched and documented by Louann Brizendine M.D. amongst others), I find this film kinda right up my alley, in the sense that its based on objective scientific research that is cleverly woven into the stories of several relationships and what possibly maybe influences and motives on and behind human behavior. So add to this well written story by Cummings and Brennan the huge talents of Cecily Strong (whom im over the moon for, so yes i may be biased) and Deon Cole whose just imo such a presence, enough of which that hes more than capable of scene stealing in his 'lesser' roles... Well then folks you have your self a guaranteed 'worth your time (and money) film'. That being said I'm not counting out Blake Griffin whom, come on, is fun to watch off the court and not a bad actor all things considered (also should be so lucky to be wedded to Cicely, hah.. Ik ik but I already stated my biases ;] ) . Nor am I Sofia or James or Whitney for that matter all of whom i appreciate very much (ik ik there's Jane Seymore and Lucy, etc etc but im not here to critique the acting or comedic 'chops' of any of the aforementioned) so if you are simply looking for a film that likely wont get very much hype yet warrants some then go ahead and 'be entertained and educated'.... Allright yall I reckon thats more than enough.. Tc and remember its all about finesse

Simple movie for a couple yucks. Bad story writing, bad role research, bad directing, predictable twist/ ending.
