The Farewell

What a truly touching movie. I laughed, I cried, I delighted in learning about a culture that I do not know much of. It makes me want to reach out to my own family and spend time with them. I will not forget this movie any time soon. Thank you to the director of this movie who decided to share this story with the world.

It's fine. I wouldn't say The Farewell is particularly moving despite it trying really hard to be touching. The comedy works occasionally and the family dynamics is pretty realistic. I think the story worked better as a short podcast than a feature length film. Btw it's on Amazon for free.
