Boring. I wanted this film to end and I was glad when it did. The TV series was always exciting with the character, but what on earth made anyone think the character should be like this in a film???? Denzel Washington was completely wrong for this part. And i'm a big fan of his, he's in some great films and plays the characters and makes them believable. But, in this, a bad joke. If you liked the TV series don't bother watching this. And if your expecting an action film don't watch it either. I would actually give this film no stars if i could.

Not As Good As The Original TV Series. If you watch these films as stand alone films then they're fine. Thls second one loses momentum in the middle though and some may lose interest. But if you're a fan of the original series, and you choose to try this because of that, then you maybe disappointed as you'll find that Denzel Washington is no Edwood Woodward. Many things are missing in his lackluster portrayal of Robert McCall, especially the style and that he is less of a hero in these movies.

I was waiting with anticipation for the sequel to "The Equalizer" as that film was brilliant. Though this film was good it lacked the pace I had come to expect and the story line was plausible but lacked that spark to hold one's interest. The sub plots were superficial and not particularly well linked. That having been said I usually have to watch a film several times before normally making a judgement. It may flow better second time round. It was still engaging but not as good as the first film. Denzel Washington is such a good actor and is well suited to this character's role but the screenplay and direction let him and the film down as it seemed to lose momentum in the middle of the film. Though I have made these comments I still liked it but it could have been so much better had there been more depth to the story.
