The only reason this didn't get zero or one star is because D.W. was in it. Product placements, lines and scenes stolen directly or indirectly from the Bourne films. The opening scene would have caused a fair bit of outrage if the antagonist/kidnapper had been Jewish/Israeli, and Denzel had dawned curled pony tails and a yarmulke as his disguise. I guess the yolk's on me, because I rented this film. Save your money by re-watching one of the old Bourne films you already own. You'll get more entertainment from that, even if you've seen it ten times or more.

A few years past removed from being plausible as an action hero, Denzel Washington phones it in while some of the laziest writing imaginable throws villains of no discernible motivation into the meatgrinder to be despatched in scenes of extravagant gore. In the first one of these films, the saving graces of far more sympathetic protagonists (in this I include Equalizer 1's Denzel), and somewhat creative use of implements commonly available in a hardware store, made a subpar script just barely supportable but in this one there's nothing to shield you from the threadbare plot. If you like Denzel in the moralizing murder genre, I highly recommend re-watching "Man on Fire" or "Book of Eli" instead.

Wasn't fantastic they should of stuck with small stories of Denzel Washington's character going around helping and solving people's problems as they were slightly doing in the beginning of this movie. The whole main idea of certain people in intelligence getting killed completely wasn't believable and just took too long to get to the end. Sometimes just simple stories are more compelling then a major problem / issue that a main character is trying to solve. This movie was ok at best.
