About this movie

Academy Award winner Helen Mirren and two-time Academy Award nominee Tom Wilkinson star in The Debt, "a pulse-pounding and politically charged suspense thriller" (Karen Durbin, Elle). In 1966, three Mossad agents were assigned to track down a feared Nazi war criminal hiding in East Berlin, a mission accomplished at great risk and personal cost - or was it? Thirty years later, the suspense builds as shocking news and surprising revelations compel retired team member Rachel Singer (Helen Mirren) to take matters into her own hands. Co-starring Sam Worthington, Jessica Chastain and Ciarán Hinds, it's the film critics call "an intelligent thriller with superb performances." (USA Today) 2010 Focus Features. All Rights Reserved.

This is a good thriller that has some really interesting editing and transitions. The Debt is also well cast even though this isn't Helen Mirren's best role. It's not a question of talent but I found her character to be uninteresting. Young Stephan was a much more interesting character and Sam Worthington's David was a missed opportunity. A bit more back story would have been nice for him. Overall, a good film, worth the rent.

Re downloaded. Watched it. It was a little slower than I thought, but still a great movie. The end left u hanging a bit but I like that! Definitely worth watching, but if your all action, maybe wait for netflix

Its not dramatic enough to be a drama and not exciting or action packed enough to be a thriller or action movie. I thought the idea was kind of cool but I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd thought I would
