TDK is truly a work of art by a genius director (Christopher Nolan) who never disappoints in my opinion, with this outstanding take on the cape crusader it's a breathtaking, gripping and perfect thrill ride from start to finish in EVERY way imaginable. I very rarely write reviews or even comments on anything but with this film I just had to. I remember seeing this for the first time and I automatically casted it directly into my top 10 films of all time which trust me isn't easy, instantly and after just watching it for what must've easily been the 100+ time it's still as memorable and powerful as it was the first, not only for the phenomenal direction/writing from Nolan but also a ensemble of extremely talented actors who all effortlessly play their parts to perfection, of course the late Heath Ledger was sooner or later going to get a mention here for portraying The Joker the likes of which we've NEVER seen and NEVER will again (No offence to Jack's, although that performance was also brilliant Heath's just blows you away) he literally steals and owns every scene he's in, if only he got to receive the Oscar for this role that he so rightly deserved himself before passing, its something that has always saddened me knowing this performance could've catapulted him into so many more iconic roles, the only good to come out of it all being at least we got to see him act the times he did that'll forever cement his name in legend and leave the legacy he has left. All of the other cast members totally deserve praise and credit for delivering also; Bale, Oldman, Eckhart, Gyllenhaal, Caine and Freeman ALL shine in different scenes they have and add depth to their characters and to the plot. The action scenes are spectacular and seeing them in HD are surreal, added with twists and turns, easy to follow dialogue and set pieces and the conclusion is... The Dark Knight is easily the best Batman film/portrayal of all time and film of 2000's with a real close run in for all time, period. Anyone reading this or any comments about it, thinking about watching it for the first time (God knows how) or even to just re-watch it DO! 10/10.

The Dark Knight isn't only the best superhero movie ever made but is also one of the best written movies of all time. Heath Ledger as Joker is the best Joker of all time with Mark Hammil. It has such a clever and genius story which isn't slow and boring. I like that Nolan made the streets of Gotham a little cleaner than what some people like because it makes the city feel real. In conclusion, The Dark Knight is more than a movie, it's an epic tragedy.

Comic superhero does not get more than this. I waited to see the new one before reviewing and for me the only reason why it made it was because of this one. Definitely the best superhero movie of all times. Most of the times superheroes are all about their powers and amazingness but this brings batman to a captivating and engaging level and no better no better person could have played joker.
