The Dark Crystal

That is the extent of the value of this film. As a fantasy it is extremely slow-moving and expressionless. Flat might be the appropriate term for it. There appears to be a story, but it is overwhelmed by the puppetry which is technically amazing. Unfortunately, I did not have a puppeteer to watch the film with me to point out all of the amazing and so I was left to wander in the depths of my ignorance.

I still want to love this movie but I just can't. There is so much creativity here and genuinely unique ideas at the time but it just doesn't work as well as I hoped.

This was an amazing movie so much character and room to spread but there was just so much random happening and the characters were a bit frightening the movie left you thinking stuff like "wait what?"
