About this movie

In a remote and forgotten wilderness, one of nature's last great mysteries unfolds: the birth, life and death of a million crimson-winged flamingos. Against a dramatic backdrop of never-before filmed landscapes, these secretive birds struggle to survive and prevail over danger and fate. This inspiring story, set in the extraordinary 'otherworld' of Lake Natron in northern Tanzania, the cradle of humankind, reminds us: here on earth is a universe waiting to be discovered.

If you watch this movie, you'll probably learn something new and--depending on your interests--have a good time while you're at it. It opens your eyes to an unfamiliar side of nature, almost a world in itself. If you haven't seen the movie, don't let those reviews about the "mythical script" dissuade you from doing so. The narrator's just a bit poetic at times. In my opinion, it fits well with the over all tone of the film and doesn't detract from its "realness." Like nature? Click play.

All time favourite. Shows the beauty of nature. The music always makes me emotional and remains to this day my favourite movie soundtrack. The cinematography is gorgeous. If you love nature you should defiantly add this to your list to watch!
