This is my favorite movie of all time. The storytelling, the music, the graphics, the casting, the colors, the character development, the spiritual truths, the sass, the scenery, the characters themselves...I just love everything about it. Though it does differ from the book, especially in the Telmarines' appearance, I think the liberties were taken in a very tasteful way and it could not have been done better. Andrew Adamson is a phenomenal director and this movie is just beautiful. I'm also impressed with the fact that most of the book's scenes are in the movie, though they are a little bit out of order in some cases.

We first saw this in the theatre, and loved it so much that we had to get the DVD. Our whole family loves the Chronicles of Narnia series, and adore both the books and the movies! The cameras are supurb, the casting is very well done, and the acting is terrific, espechially during the battle scene near tge end of the movie. I would reccomend this to anyone who is a fan of the Fantasy genre!

As I thoroughly enjoyed the first chronicle of Narnia in film format, I was very much looking forward to the second. As I imagine the subject matter of this story is a little bit headier than the first, the movie pays tribute to that with a much more savage film (to paraphrase a line from one excellent character). It is refreshing to see the world of Narnia in a different light than in the first film, but just as the child characters are shocked by the changes, the viewer goes through the same shock and awe. This makes the film a little less cookie cutter than the first, although it is hardly unpredictable. The visuals and cinematography are breathtaking as usual; it is once again remarkable how they manage to incorporate creatures into the world in such a seamless manner that you easily forget where the real world ends. This magical property again befits a Narnia film, even one much harsher and dark throughout than its predecessor.
