About this movie

When long-term congressman Cam Brady (Will Ferrell) commits a major public gaffe before an upcoming election, a pair of ultra-wealthy CEOs plot to put up a rival candidate and gain influence over their North Carolina district. Their man: naïve Marty Huggins (Zach Galifianakis), director of the local Tourism Center. At first, Marty appears to be the unlikeliest possible choice but, with the help of his new benefactors' support, a cutthroat campaign manager and his family's political connections, he soon becomes a contender who gives the charismatic Cam plenty to worry about. As election day closes in, the two are locked in a dead heat, with insults quickly escalating to injury until all they care about is burying each other in this mud-slinging, back-stabbing, home-wrecking comedy from "Meet the Parents" director Jay Roach. Because even when you think campaign ethics have hit rock bottom, there's room to dig a whole lot deeper. MPAA Rating: R for crude sexual content, language and brief nudity. © 2012 Warner Bros. I loved Zack Galifinakis in this. He's the only reason I watched it. Will Ferrell's character is way too over-the-top, but the whole thing comes to a close pretty well. The third act is the best part, so if you're struggling to sit through it, don't worry, it gets better. Seems like the character development was crammed in at the end in favor of pointless one-liners. Makes me wish Judd Apatow was on set with his usual crew, as he might have made it work better. All in all, it was alright.

Didn't like it;;and most especially because it was sacriligious and didn't show good judgement on their part to be disrespectful on some other people's religion;and the way they believe.even though I don't believe the same way .they do testing god with snakes .last time I heard ; god does the testing of faith of his children: and how strong they are going to stand for him from now to eternity and until judgement .at least i show respect; concideration for these peop.they don't.
