About this movie

Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids, The Heat) stars as Michelle Darnell, a titan of industry who is sent to prison for insider trading. After doing her time, Michelle emerges, ready to rebrand herself as America's latest sweetheart, but not everyone she steamrolled is so quick to forgive and forget. With nowhere to go and no one to scam, Michelle is forced to move in with former assistant Claire (Kristen Bell - Frozen, Showtime's House of Lies) and her young daughter, Rachel. Now at her lowest point, Michelle wastes no time in devising a winner-take-all plan to rebuild her empire. Can she reclaim her status as the No. 1 screwer, or will the love of one family screw her for good? (Original Title - The Boss) - 2016 Universal Studios. All Rights Reserved.

This was a horrible waste of time, there was nothing funny in the first 40 minutes of this movie, I ended up not finishing it. Nothing could redeem this train wreck, she must have realized this was a bad movie when she got on set and just phoned it in or something. There has to be a logical explanation for how flat her acting was. This is the worst Melissa Mccarthy movie I have seen so far, I usually enjoy what she does. Usually its hard to make it 5 minutes without laughing this one it's hard to not fall asleep.

At first I thought this was just a rip off of Get Hard and wouldn't be that funny. I'm glad I watched it anyways because it ended up being pretty funny. If u like Will Ferrell's comedy, you'll love this. It did have kind of a sad tale behind the funny which was ok, but not really needed.

I guess we're just throwing movies together at this point. Zero originality, cursing , vulgarity and boring. Instead of throwing movies together they really need to focus in on what people really want. Bad mom's is a great example. Realistic humor, being sick of the daily grind. Relatable humor. A millionaire life coach taken down by irs and remaking herself as a girl scout leader is not relatable.
