It's after midnight and all is quiet outside. There's a full moon. I couldn't be more satisfied. Sure, this movie stars the great John Belushi and the inimitable Dan Akroyd. But there's so much more, including songs by Ray Charles, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, and James Brown. Their like will never be seen again. You will also get to see John Belushi execute a bunch of acrobatic flips. Steve Spielberg has a cameo near the end. The beautiful and brilliant Carrie Fisher plays Belushi's ex.

There are two ways to watch this movie - for comedy or for the music. I love both and the Blues Brothers delivers on both fronts. Beyond just Belushi and Aykroyd, the entire cast delivers non-stop laughter. The musical lineup - John Lee Hooker, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, James Brown - simply unmatched in any other film. This is such a classic - I've watched it dozens of times over the last 20 years and I never tire of it. Even when I happen upon it (edited and with commercials) on regular television, I get sucked in.

This movie is by far the best movie I have ever seen, and I know every line by heart (well actually by mind if you think about it). But anyway, it is definitely worth the money to buy or rent on google play, and it is a classic. That's just my opinion though. I will kill people who don't agree with me though.
