The first marigold hotel film was enjoyable and heart-warming but this was empty and flacid with poorly developed characters, rubbish incomplete plot lines, little humour and little joy. Waste of time and money and the actors involved ought to be ashamed of themselves.

All the stars really deliver great performances. Plot is full of surprises. Funny and sad in equal measure. One of the better films on offer to brighten my transatlantic flight. Had to have a copy at home.

Well acted by all. Highly enjoyable comedy and nice to be able to watch a film with my little boy in the room. Can't think of any films with Dame Judy Dench in that aren't good actually. Will be buying the 2nd Best Marigold film soon too.
