About this movie

NEW MISSION, NEW THREAT, NEW FATE. “Arnold is back and better than ever” (Shawn Edwards, WDAF-TV, FOX) in this explosive new chapter of the blockbuster Terminator franchise. In the war of man against machine, Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney, The Divergent Series) is sent back to 1984 by resistance leader John Connor (Jason Clarke, Everest) to protect his young mother, Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke, Game of Thrones). However, this time unexpected events have altered the past and threaten the future for all mankind. Now Reese must join forces with Sarah and her “Guardian” (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to save the world and stop the next evolution of Terminators in “one of the best action movies of the year.” (Rick Bentley, The Fresno Bee)

Fun Spin-off movie. I think the secret to liking the movie is not to take it seriously. However I wish they elaborated about how there was a change in the past in the first place a bit more. It's a little like a game plot. But I do feel that this movie is better than the other franchise movies but nothing beats the original movie and T2. It would have been nice if the original cast members like Linda Hamilton could have at least made a guest or cameo appearance. I am not sure so sure about the casting of Sarah Connor since she looked about 14. I remember I went to the 3D ride in Universal Studios. The spin-off story for that is so much better. I remember the ride till this day and queuing up. Maybe the writers should go and research how to make a spin-off movie with some more weight. Dispite this I was entertaining if you just don't think about too much. So, I guess with the review I have.

I've always been a Terminator fan good or bad from the very first film. This was better than expected from reading the reviews and importantly remains entertaining and keeps a fast pace. It would be nice if they could produce a more hard core adult version which the series is crying out for and forget the nice Terminator twist.. Hopefully this is the last one with Arnold S. who unexpectedly manages to pull it off in this movie and so can bow out gracefully from the series as the nice Terminator. One final note its interesting that the special effects animators still can't animate flying aircraft properly, in this film helicopters,

A very good film and some pretty neat plot linkages to t1 and t2. Plenty of nostalgia and great effects to boot. I was unsure about this movie after the awful t3 and the so so terminator salvation. However, this movie is massively better than those but not close to t1 or the brilliant t2. Well worth watching though.
