Terminator: Dark Fate

I really don’t understand the negativity around this film and I feel people are alway expecting way too much these days that film makers can’t keep anyone happy. This film has tremendous action scenes, some awesome acting from the original (Linds Hamilton is still the bomb) and new cast. The new Terminator was the best we’ve seen since the T-1000 and it also has some great nods to T2. Just grab some popcorn or salt n vinegar chips and enjoy the ride.

The franchise has had some low points but this plumbs new depths. Most of the canon is thrown away and replaced with some kind of fanfic nonsense that poops all over the laws of physics, common sense or any respect for the previous movies. The action scenes are comically overdone, even for the genre of killer time-travelling robots. The lack of Spanish subtitles in the first 10 minutes or so doesn't help but you get the gist. I hope that this is the end of the franchise, as lame as it was.

I quite enjoyed this movie. It makes an excellent 'third' movie in the series, ignoring the mediocre sequels after T2. Whilst trying to avoid spoilers, I liked that they credited Edward Furlong for his appearance (people will understand what I mean once they watch it). Give them movie a go, T1 and T2 fans will definitely enjoy.
