About this movie

The year is 2018. An army of Terminators roams the post-apocalyptic landscape, killing or collecting humans. But small groups of survivors have organized into a Resistance, hiding in underground bunkers and striking when they can. Controlling the Terminators is the artificial intelligence network Skynet, which became self-aware 14 years earlier and, in the blink of an eye, turned on its creators, unleashing nuclear annihilation on an unsuspecting world. The world is on the brink of the future that John Connor (Christian Bale) has been warned about all his life. But something totally new has shaken his belief that humanity stands a chance of winning this war: the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger from the past. Connor must decide whether Marcus can be trusted. But as Skynet adapts new strategies to end the Resistance forever, Connor and Marcus must find common ground to take a stand against the onslaught--to infiltrate Skynet and meet the enemy head-on.

Good movie on it's own, would be a 5 star, but it didn't exactly follow the original story line, on what happened truthfully. Should of at least gone over Rees's lines, he grew up in a slave camp, was branded at a young age, him and other humans were a part of the manufacturing crew enslaved by the machines. The machines inflicted pain on them, taught him to ignore the pain... This movie does NOT follow cannon of Terminator, and therefor, should be considered to be a spin off, and should not carry the name Terminator. Dates, times, locations, easily planted by the machines, to skew the time line, and make Sarah Conner believe a different story, but his history should remain solid throughout. On the lighter side, I smiled when I seen them use Arnold's image for a very short scene, I have followed him since Conan The Barbarian.

Not sure why so much hate but probably the better in the series since Judgement Day. The story went a different direction, good action and a variety of killer robots. What's not to like, compared to the recycled time travelling story over and over and over and over ....
